Chapter 1: The Dark Skies Ahead

Summary:

Sequence of Events:

• Activation of SIVANOS system.
• Mythos (possibly).
• Battle in training field.
  • Maola Lothis jumps the gun in battle scenario, but manages to survive.
  • Trips on oversized clothes thanks to jutting rubble.
  • Gets lectured by Lannis Poret for deviating from assigned plan.
• Damien Aeonista is in library by himself.
  • Discovers vague mention towards technology on ragged sheet.
    • This piece of ragged paper(RSD) details how to make a technological device.
    • This device shows the date, which we get from it (3316 AD, 1017 AS (After Splitting))
• Maola comes into library, pissed off at Lannis for lecturing her.
  • Damien hardly listens, as he is studying the sheet.
• Upon stepping outside, Lannis and a gang of friends ambush Maola and Damien.
  • They manage to convince Maola to break into the Headmaster's office(RSD), to be "cool"(RSD). They request her to take back an item (RSD)that was confiscated from Lannis earlier in the year.
    • Damien goes along, in the hopes he'll discover some of the things he needs to build the item (RSD)he found on the sheet.
• When they near the headmasters office, a great ruckus(RSD) erupts outside, enabling them to get inside the office.
  • Maola quickly finds the thing (RSD)she was convinced to find, but in the process discovers a riddle that leads us into the central plot.
    • Damien reads this riddle and quickly comprehends its importance.
    • Maola, upon reading it, understands it as well but is more concerned about escaping the office.
• However, upon leaving the office, they look about and discover that Katar was attacking the Isle.
  • Fleeing from Katar troops(RSD) that saw them upon leaving the office with the thing they are hunting for, they run through an abandoned section of the school.
    • Thanks to frequent exploration when they were younger with Stott Lothis, Maola's older brother, they go through the area with ease, finding their way into the Great Forest(RSD).
• Within the Forest is a small cave system, which the two of them enter to escape from flying Katar surveillance vehicles, which are hunting for them for the thing they carry.
  • Inside the cave, they trip and fall into a large pit that they had never managed to reach the bottom of during previous exploration of the cave system.
